 Quick instructions to set up the Brother MFC-T4500DW multi-function color printer

  1. Open your Brother printer's product box.
  2. You can find the Brother MFC-T4500DW printer, a set of ink bottles, a quick setup guide, a product safety guide, a power cord, an installation disc, USB interface cable, and telephone line cord.
  3. Now, take all the components and the printer out of the box.
  4. Unpack your printer completely by removing the packing tapes or materials surrounding or present inside & outside the printer.
  5. Place the Brother printer on a clean surface area. 
  6. Now, remove the printer's paper tray.
  7. Based on the paper type that you're loading, align the paper width guides correctly.
  8. Load a stack of paper in the tray and place the tray back into the printer.
  9. Connect your Brother printer to an electrical outlet and turn it on.
  10. Once the printer becomes stable, set the basic printer preferences by following the instructions displayed on the printer screen.
  11. After setting them, open the ink tank cover of your printer.
  12. Fill the tanks and close the cover. Make sure the color on the ink tank matches the ink color.
  13. Now, the printer begins the initial cleaning process. 
  14. Once it is done, configure the printer settings by following the on-screen instructions.
  15. If you wish to use the printer for the fax operation, then open the scanner cover first and connect the printer to the telephone wall jack using the telephone line cord. 
  16. Close the scanner cover. Skip this step if you're not using the fax operation on your printer.
  17. Now, install the Brother MFC-T4500DW printer driver on your computer or mobile phone based on your desire.
  18. You can use the installation CD or download the printer driver for installation.
  19. Once you start installing the driver, the installer would prompt the setup instructions on the screen. Keep following these prompts to complete the setup.
  20. Print a test page to check whether the configuration is done correctly.
  21. If you wish to set up the Brother printer on your smartphone, first connect the printer and the smartphone to the same wireless network. You can use the Apple AirPrint or Mopria feature or the Brother iPrint & Scan app to print.
