 How To Install Lexmark Maintenance Kit?

Usually, the maintenance kit of the Lexmark printer comes preinstalled. If it needs to be replaced, you have to get a new one from a trusted retailer. To install the maintenance kit on the Lexmark printer, follow the below-mentioned steps.

Installing the Fuser Unit:

Turn off the Lexmark printer and wait for 30 minutes to let the printer to cool down.

Plug the power cord out from the printer.

If your Lexmark printer has a fuser wiper cover, remove it first.

Move on to the printer’s backside and gently open the back door.

Press down the black levers to access the fuser unit area.

Insert the new fuser unit into its compartment and screw the blue buttons.

Push the black lever to its locking position and close the printer’s back door.

Next, refix the fuser wiper cover (if applicable).

Now, the fuser unit is installed successfully on the Lexmark printer. 


Installing the Transfer Roller:

Ensure that the Lexmark printer is turned off and completely cooled down.

Open the printer's front cover and pull out the toner cartridge & drum unit assembly from the printer.

Now, slide the transfer roller into the left side hole and twist it to fix in its locking position.

Make sure that the previously installed transfer roller has been removed.

After installing the transfer roller, refix the toner & drum unit assembly and close the front cover.


Installing the Media Pick Up Roller:

First, remove the paper input tray from the Lexmark printer.

Pinch the green buttons and hold the roller with one hand.

Next, use the other hand to pull down the blue tray.

Now, remove the media pick up roller (if it installed in the printer).

Install the new media pick up roller by sliding it to the left and refix the paper input tray.


Installing the Separation Roller:

Pull out the paper input tray and press the blue button to remove the separation roller (if any).

Install the new separation roller and ensure that it is fixed appropriately.

Refix the paper input tray into the printer.
