Xerox Versalink C405 Setup

 Unboxing the printer:

  1. Unpack the printer from the package and find the following components inside the package: 
  2. CD ROM
  3. User manual and Start Here guide
  4. Toner cartridges 
  5. Power cord and adapter
  6. Telephone line cord
  7. Discard any protective tapes and tags from the printer.
  8. To install paper on your printer, pull out the paper tray and slide out the edges to their maximum.
  9. Take out a stack of paper, flip it out, even the paper. Then load the paper in the tray.
  10. Adjust the edges until they touch the loaded paper.
  11. Reinsert the paper tray into your printer.
  12. Unpack the USB cable from the package and connect it to the printer’s USB port and your computer.
  13. For an Ethernet connection, connect the Ethernet cable to your printer and the other end to your router.
  14. Trays 1 and 2 will be identical. Trays 3 and 4 are size-adjustable.

Powering on the printer:

  1. To set up the fax option on your printer, you need to connect the telephone line cord to the Xerox printer and a modular wall socket.
  2. Now, connect the AC power cord to the printer and to the power source.
  3. Press the power button on your Xerox VersaLink C405 printer and turn it on.
  4. Set your preferred language and date and time on the printer control panel.
  5. Ensure to set the device configuration and save the entered details on your printer.
  6. You've now completed the hardware setup of your Xerox VersaLink C405 printer.
  7. You can find a CD-ROM with the package. Insert the CD-ROM into your system to install the printer software for your Xerox VersaLink C405 printer.
  8. Follow the prompted instruction and complete the software setup for your Xerox printer.
  9. If your system doesn't support the CD-ROM, visit Xerox VersaLink’s official support page to get the printer software and then install it on your system.
  10. You've now completed the Xerox VersaLink C405 printer setup.
